Our global Continental Knots online panel (UK + worldwide coverage) was started in 1997 in Japan, where quality control and innovation with questionnaire technology has always been very important. Continental was involved with the European set up and now provides full service agency support.

Quality control is paramount, some of the steps we follow to ensure the quality of online data are detailed below:
- validate certain questions against data we already hold for respondents
- exclude those who complete the questionnaire too quickly (based on average times)
- we look at open ended answers for each respondent – if answers are not sensible the interview is rejected
- we have also conducted several studies comparing the results of online and offline research.
We also have an online panel of UK SME businesses, all of whom were recruited on the telephone, enabling us to conduct cost effective online research amongst financial decision makers within SMEs.
Finally we also run bespoke online panels. Clients that have used this service include EA Sports, Ofcom and OMD UK.
